About
“Artizan Music are professional connoisseurs and procurement specialists. They assist those with discerning musical palates and the means of stocking their ears, with only the finest and exceptional music.
Each release is personally selected from Artizan producers around the globe.”
Jafar, Maxime Cescau & Andy Touchfingers Artizan Music was born in the rainy Winter of 2005. The logical progression of their mutual studio marriage, Artizan rose like an electronic phoenix from the ashes of Jafar & Touch’s previous Kwaito Recordings imprint and Maxime Cescau’s 4bit Art & Music. It is the culmination of almost two decades in the music business spent collectively working at major record companies, independents, distributors, exporters, PR agencies, events companies and nightclubs. Artizan, as its namesake suggests, is home to only the finest ‘Master Craftsmen’ in the electronic business..
In addition to being a home for their collective studio works as Poussez, Artizan Music’s vision is as a platform for deep, thought-provoking dance music; A tender tough mix of modern Deep House, Techno, Nu-Disco and bumpin’ Electronics, aimed squarely at the minds, ears, hearts and feet of the modern dancefloor connoisseur..
Alongside Poussez, the Artizan Music roster includes such international luminaries as Andreas Saag (Freerange, Sweden), Kris Wadsworth (Get Physical, Detroit), Nacho Marco (LoudEast, Spain), Pete DaFeet (Lost My Dog, UK), MrCenzo (Plastic City, UK), Rhythm Plate (Winding Road, UK), Spieltape (Global Underground, Russia), W10 (Prolifica, Italy), Rich Medina (SpaceKat, USA), Funky Transport (2020 Vision, UK) and proudly scours the globe to unearth the next wave of electronic artists, such as EZLV (Raw Trax, Canada), Estetique (Russia), Soulstream (Hungary), Neat D (Sweden), Jesper Aubin (Sweden), Eightbitrate (Holic, Italy), Smok (Finland) and many, many more..
Uptownboogiedown, Artizan Music’s popular label event and international tours arm, has featured in conjunction with the industries most acclaimed brands and venues including Mulletover, Retox, Lovebox, Fabric, NHAC, East Village, The Egg, MOS and beyond.
