Jafar & Maxime Cescau will be rocking 3 hours b2b of all their latest studio works, wrapped around a healthy dose of Artizan Music‘s freshest cuts and all the finest in modern Deep House. In support, is Pins & Needles label head honcho Philipp Ort b2b with production partner Scott D’Souza. Ort & D’Souza’s remix talents feature on the Poussez EP alongside remixes from woman of the moment Claire Ripley (Dessous) and our very own Canadian superstars EZLV.

The label has seen some superb new signings this year, reached 022 releases and 022 podcasts, rocked Fabric (we’re back there in 2012!), Plan B, Fluid and toured Europe..

On Saturday 3rd December, we return to Fluid, Farringdon. We finally welcome back the devastating talent that is ANDY TOUCHFINGERS. Yes the man with the musical fingers is back,  Jamie Cullem is for part timers. Come witness the real McCoy, as Andy rocks a deep house keys and DJ set alongside residents and long-time collaborators Jafar & Maxime Cescau, aka POUSSEZ. Three of them will be cooking up some real heat all night in the basement…

Up in the bar, a healthy does of festive, future funk, nu-disco and raindeer boogie from our good friends KID FIESTA (Horse & Groom), TIM GALE (Plain&Simple, Thailand), the lovely ALLIE COOK (back by dope demand after smashing it in Sept) and CHAMPS (Bear Dance)..

Italo-American production duo Mateo & Matos are, no two ways about it, legends.  Their lush deep house has, over the years, appeared on a veritable cornucopia of the World’s most respected record labels: Glasgow Underground, Nite Grooves, Henry Street, Distant Music, Spiritual Life,  4th Floor, Nervous, Large Music, Seamless, Prog City, West End Records, TNT…you get the picture!

So its with a wide-mouthed grin that we proudly recall the day they emailed this office requesting our very own Poussez for a remix. Eddie Matos so loved Poussez’s Discuits, that they wanted Jafar & Maxime to reinterpret the latest Mateo & Matos ‘Hypnotized’ release.

The Poussez remix rounds off a stellar package including an ace re-rub by Anton Zap.

Nimble PR are the tiptop media and PR agency whose clients include Kidology, Rock & Roll Times, Seduction Beach Club, Electric Minds and of course Artizan Music. It was therefore a resounding hell yes, when he asked us if Poussez would do him the honour of guesting at the opening night of Nimble’s new industry mid-weeker THE SPEAKEASY on Thursday 27th October 2011..

The Speakeasy is a free, industry thursday nighter aimed at the music and media professional, where you come down for a relaxed network session and shake a leg to top DJs in the process. Madgers has deftly brought in original Ministry of Sound co-founder & resident DJ, Justin Berkmann as Speakeasy resident. Poussez join him, Madgers and Brian Robinson.

Joining POUSSEZ (Jafar & Maxime Cescau) in the UTBD basement Friday 30th September for a good ol techno and deep house knees up, is then, one of the UK’s finest right now…TOM DEMAC!!

Flying in direct from headlining Space Ibiza’s closing party, Tom is going to be performing one of his exclusive live sets, showcasing all his latest material, that has caused such a ruckus on hot shit labels like Hypercolour, Liebe*Detail, Dessous and Geddes’ superb Murmur. Nuff said.

Meanwhile, in the upstairs bar, we’ve more delicious space funk, future boogie, nu-disco and re-edits from Lost My Dog’s brill TOM LOWN, KID FIESTA who runs the Monster Cuts parties at Horse & Groom and was the brains behind the short-lived, yet oh so brilliant Bloom festival. MATT YOUNG a superb eclectic DJ and man behind the itchysoul show on House FM. Last but by no means least, we have the lovely ALLIE COOK…Yes, finally a female DJ at UTBD…and a bloody good one at that! LIL DOM also returns on his latin percussion. Toot Toot!

Anyone frequenting the Notting Hill Arts Club will know just how rich its Sunday party heritage is: Our very own Uptownboogiedown began life there, Stuart Patterson & Leo Elstob’s infamous Sundaysonic and of course the legendary Lazy Dog, compered by Buzzin’ Fly’s Ben Watt and one of tonight’s headliners, Jay Hannan..

As Ben went on to run his record label, Jay stayed to run the UnderDog night with our good friend Mark Hope. Mark unsurprisingly also happens to be the man behind this rather tasty little fundraiser at Fluid, Farringdon on Thursday 20th October..

IN THE LOOP is a charity night all in aid of The Bromley By Bow Centre, a pioneering voluntary organisation in East London. Working in one of the most deprived hospital wards in the UK, each week they support over 2000 families, young people and adults of all ages to learn new skills, improve their health and wellbeing, find employment and develop the confidence to achieve their goals and transform their lives..

Headlining then, is Artizan Music’s main men Poussez, still celebrating recent signings to 3AM, Pins & Needles and the fantastic italian label Neurotraxx Deluxe and of course Lazy Dog’s brilliant Jay Hannan. Mark Hope of course rounds proceedings off.

So come on down straight from work. Happy hour is on 17-19.00, with 2-4-1 on premium Asahi and cocktails reduced to £4. Fluid’s lovely sushi restaurant is open until 10pm and you don’t have to pay anything to get in, but its all for Charity so if you can put something in the bucket for a good cause it all helps! Runs through till 3am….The weekend starts here!!
